This dining table had a very brittle finish. It was starting to chip at the edges, and had suffered a lot of ware and tear. After taking to polish down to remove scratches, it was polished and a beautiful even shine.
This table was very worn. The color had been rubbed off, and it had then been refinished over the uneven surface. It was stripped, re-stained, and refinished, to the customers specifications.

My client chose to take a plain carved wood frame, and put a burnished gesso finish on it, to accentuate the carving, and make it more unusual.
