Variety of Black and Gilt Lacquer Screens

I have restored many both Chinese and China Export Screens from the 17th through 19th century. This is just a few samples.

This 8 panel screen had tenting on almost every area, both front and back.  Multiple series of glue injections, and clamping, were required to flatten the surface.  Once flat, all missing lacquer was replaced, and in-painted, and then the entire screen was cleaned and lightly polished.
