It was a great pleasure to spend a week re gilding the incised inscription on the bandshell which the Central Park Conservancy asked me to do.
This table top was broken into many pieces. It was glued back together, and all missing areas were replaced to match.
Edo period statue/doll. Known for their luminous pale skin, and round jolly demeanor, this guy was not so happy. He was sort of self destructing from the inside out. I have a great fondness for these particular sculptures, and it was a lot of fun to put him back together.
Cleaning, splits, and in-painting.
This Madonna needed cleaning, and structural repairs. The splits and chips were filled, then in-painted, and gilded.
This statue needed some general cleaning, and a few stains removed. It was sealed to prevent further damage.
